This temple is constructed in the 9th century in the period of Pallavas(kings of Dravidas). Bhairavakona is very beautiful place in Andhra Pradesh. It is a beautiful and peaceful place. specialty of kona is nine sivalayas and trimukha durga are in one stone only. water fall is very beautiful. nearly 5 km from kothapally. 108 lingas and no.of gundas are present. bhyrava is kshetra palak.
